Printing downloaded PDF patterns

When printing a downloaded pattern you want to make sure there are no automatic scaling settings turned on which they usually are by default, unless you have turned them off already.

  • In general, to turn them off when printing a file, you want to choose FILE from the menu bar then PRINT from the drop down. This will bring up a prompt for printer settings.
  • Choose the printer (if you have more than one), make sure you have the right paper size in the printer;
    • Printing from Adobe reader (free application), look for a drop-down box that says auto rotate and one that says scaling. Changes these to none. Test print a page and check the 2" scale.
    • If it didn't work, you may have to also change setting on your printer after changing then in Reader. Once you select your printer, click the PROPERTIES button next to it. The scaling and page size depends on your printer. You may have to click through the options to find it. That's how I found mine!
